Sorry, we're still here!

I am so sorry I haven't posted any pictures all week.  I am SUFFERING these days with some terrible morning sickness (or really, all day sickness).  So much worse that with Gus.  Hopefully this means we are having a girl this time.  And, as Bill can attest, the cravings are way worse too.  I just crave Mexican food day, night and the entire time in between.  If this keeps up this baby is coming out wearing a sombrero!

I have just a few pictures to share with you.  Yesterday it was warm-ish, but the wind was BLOWING!  We went down to the near-by lake and Gus had a great time owwing and awwing at the waves and digging his feet into the sand.  We only stayed about 30 minutes because the wind was cold, but it was a nice little outing...and then we headed to the grocery store to get ingredient for enchiladas (shocker).

I wish he would have looked at me a little more...but there were little kids playing on the piles of dirt behind us...and how can I compete with that?  Also, it is sort of fun to see how much hair he has.  and you know what's funny? When he gets out of the bath tub his hair is a big curly mess.

I hope you are all well.  We miss you and love you.  Please say a prayer for me on Monday...as I turn the big 3-0.  yikes.  I'm getting old.

Bath in the sink

The sun in finally out today, but the past couple days have been gloomy.  That has meant that we have been stuck inside...so to keep Gus happy we have had lots of baths, both in the tub and in the sink.

This may be one of the funniest pictures I have of Gus.  I will call it, bubble mustache.

He thought the bubbles were pretty interesting!

Finally, after we got home from celebrating Bill's birthday on Wednesday, Gus just wanted to sit and snuggle on the couch, even though it was well past his bed time.  It was a rare treat and Bill enjoyed it.

Have a wonderful weekend,

A warm March day

It was another beautiful day yesterday.  Gus and I got outside as much as we could.  We sat outside and just soaked in the sun and for supper we grilled.  Last night, however, we had a violent storm, and since then things have really cooled off, so we are not outside as much today.

Here are a few pictures of the little guy getting to know that outside.

A full weekend!

It was beautiful weather, so we spent as much time as we could outside and with friends.  As usual we carted Gus all over the metro, skipped a few of his naps, ate lots of good food and had lots of laughs with our wonderful friends, both our age and Gus's age.  We even had a nice long chat with Bubba, Pops and Mimi over skype on Sunday.  It was busy, but it was wonderful.  Here are a few picture we took along the way.

On Friday Gus and I went to have lunch with Bill at work.  In the afternoon we played out on the deck (since it was 70 degrees) and Gus got good and dirty.  This is him smiling at Bill  when he got home from work.  That evening we went to a fish fry with friends in St. Paul.

Saturday was St. Patrick's day.  We celebrated at our friend Jerry's house...and the weather was so nice that we had to move inside, out of the hot sun (can be believe that...in March!?!)

Here is our festive St. Patrick's day family!

Although we went to 8am mass on Sunday, Gus got a little bit of snuggle time with Bill in bed.

Then after mass our friends James and Jess came over for brunch.  Their youngest, Damien, is 2 months younger than Gus, and, of course, moving all over the place.  We hoped that seeing this would motivate Gus, but...it didn't.

And then, Sunday afternoon, after naps, we walked to a park and enjoyed the evening.  Bill took these pictures of Gus swinging.  Also, you can't quite tell in these pictures because it is windy, but Gus's hair is getting curly in this humid weather.

Daddy had to get in  on the fun!

After we got home last night we grilled and had a fun skype conversation with Bubba, Pappy, Pops, and Mimi.  It looks like it is going to be another beautiful week!

Hope you are well!

PS--I realize that I am putting some pictures on my other blog (one I just started with my sister Maria about Catholic motherhood) and not posting them here.  I'd love it if you visited that blog too!  It is a lot of projects and reflections.

A warm day

Yesterday was beautiful!  It got up to 60 degrees, so after his afternoon nap, Gus and I headed out to a near-by lake for an adventure and some pictures.  Here are a few.

We are back inside today.  It is warm again, but gloomy and rainy.  Gus is supposed to be napping right now, but I hear him up there talking.  Oh well!

Love you all
