Pictures from Bill's camera

Since I don't have any new pictures to share, here are the pictures Bill has taken on his phone recently.

The first two picture are from the walk that Bill and Gus went on while I was at work last night.  It was the first time Gus wore his little baseball cap.  And, a little shout-out all the way to Egypt--Rana, he loves his elephant, and don't worry, I washed it.

The rest of these pictures are from Sunday when we watched the Steeler's game.  This first one is my favorite.  I snapped it when both of them were intently focused on the game.  Shortly after this Bill yelled in celebration when the Steelers scored their first touchdown, and scared Gus nearly half to death.  Notice also in this picture Gus' special blanket that Bill insisted he have even before he was born.

And here he is all dressed up in his jersey and waving around his little terrible toddler towel.

I promise to take and add new pictures soon!  We love you all,
Nancy and Gus

Yesterday and Today

It has been a quiet couple of days, but Gus and I have been having fun at home.  Here is a little of what we have been up to.

Lately I have been into making quick breads, so the two of us have been spending much of our days in the kitchen...but Gus has found ways to entertain himself.

Then, when all of the baking was done, Gus decided to have some fun and play dress up with Mommy's glasses.

And we both thought that was pretty funny!

And then Gus did his new favorite thing, suck on his fingers.

Today was not such a fun day.  First thing this morning we headed to the doctor for his 4 month appointment.  He is doing well and weighed in at just over 16 pounds.  He is also very long, measuring in at over the 90 percentile.  But then....he got four nasty shots!  Ah!  He actually took the shots really well, only crying after the third shot.  Before that i think he was just too surprised to cry.  I was prepared for the worst.  After his 2 month shots he had an awful day...but so far so good.  He is sitting on my lap right now happily sucking on his hand and kicking his legs.  Let's home the rest of the days goes as smoothly.  Bill is watching him alone tonight while I am at work.

It is a glorious day today.  After the doctor we came home and took a long walk.  Then I put Gus in the carrier and we cleaned windows outside.  It is just perfect weather...let's see how long it lasts!

We love you all!  Nancy and Gus

a weekend of many pictures!

It was an eventful weekend for our family...and here are the many pictures we took along the way....

First of all, Bill is the master of getting Gus to fall asleep in his arms...when I hold him all he wants to do is EAT!

This weekend started out with a visit from the Little Sisters of the Lamb, the religious order my sister Susan is a part of.  Although Susan is in France, these sisters are in the states and stopped by for a chat.

They really enjoyed seeing Augustine!   My mom was down in Kansas City visiting them when Gus was born, so they really feel like they were a part of it too!  In the picture are ls Benedict, ls Ode and ls Lucy.

Then, right after the little sisters left, we headed down to Marshall.  Maria, Joe, Therese and David Librande were in town...so my mom made sure to take some cousin pictures!

And so Gus pictures.

And some more Gus pictures, with his biggest fan, Therese!

And then we had to take some pictures of Gus with his Godfather, Paul.

Grandma Anne was also out for the evening.

And little David had a new hair cut--one that matched his dad's!

Then we had a campfire in the grove and roasted hotdogs and made smores.  And, Gus showed everyone how he could suck his thumb!

And we all got a little messy.

Then on Sunday, after the Librandes had left, we took some more Gus pictures!

And some more.

And then, once we were home, dad started training his son in the Steeler tradition.  They watched the game together.

We love you all.  Gus is getting mad at me for sitting here...so sorry if there are typos!
