Friday was a beautiful day, much like today. Bill and I took advantage of the weather and worked out in the yard for a few hours. Since Bill came how a little early we were able to get all the leaves picked up, and even had some time to play with a little boy in the leaves. It took him a while to get the concept of playing in the leaves, but when he caught on we had a lot of fun.
Thanks for stopping by and please, keep the prayers coming for my nephew Patrick!

Sam and Kara's Wedding Reception
As it turns out, my dear cousin Sam's wedding played out in a similar way to ours. He married a girl from PA. They were married out by State College this summer, and we had their wedding reception back here this weekend. My parents and brother made the drive out for the wedding, but we sat this one out, because two road trips to PA in one summer while pregnant and with a one year old just might have killed me.
But the reception was a blast. Gus really got out there on the dance floor and grooved. We stayed late, and as long was we were feeding him sugary punch he was awake and happy. Here are some of the pics we snapped.
Dancing with dad...and can you guess what color the punch was?!?

Dave when he first arrived and saw Gus. It might not look like it, but Gus was pretty excited too.
Bill took a few family shots of the Lanoues since they were dressed up so nice.
Look, I actually got into a picture!

The only picture we took of the bride and groom. LOVE you SAM!

A day at the zoo
Yesterday might have been the last nice day. It was hot and beautiful...and today was COLD! Luckily we knew this would be the case, so headed out to the zoo yesterday and had a fun day with Bill's Aunt Barbie. We hadn't been to the zoo since May and it was fun to see how much more interested Gus was in all the animals. We also were there at a really good time. Many of the animals were out eating while we were there, and we even got to see Sparky the Seal go through all of his tricks, and Gus had a front row seat for this--don't worry, there is glass between him and the seal. And yes, he called Sparky "dog".
Both of us had lots of fun getting to know Aunt Barbie this week. We had a wonderful dinner with her and Uncle Bob. It will be nice once they are here and settled.
Thanks stopping by! All is well here other than that. My sister still hasn't had her baby yet. She is 41 weeks!

A weekend on the farm
We made the trek down to Marshall this weekend to be part of harvest, and we were, despite the fact that we got zero pictures of Gus (or anyone for that matter) actually in tractors. They are busy, and it is serious work out there, so it just didn't work out to get any shots, although Bill and Gus did get to ride in the Semi with my dad, in the Grain cart with Uncle Paul, and the combine with my Uncle Ed. I am bummed that we didn't get any pictures, but the memories will just have to be good enough!
We did take a few other pictures though. We were lucky enough to spend almost the entire day with my sister Ruth and her kids. Together we spent time out at the bins, helping my dad between loads, we went out to the Lanoue park and played in the creek, and we all went in to visit Grandma Anne that night. Here are the pictures:
Rosy wearing a cute hat Mary found for her in Grandma's stash.
Mary also found a cute headband for herself.
The boys out for a four-wheeler ride with Uncle Billy.
Playing in the creek at the Lanoue park--It was a hot day in the end! It was almost 90! Gus and I both needed to get cooled off.
Simon, the big 8 year old!
Man, that's one tough looking crew!
What a pretty mama and baby!
We left the park...but we didn't get Gus dressed! He enjoyed the rest of the evening in his diaper, goofing around with the Lanoue cousins at Grandma Anne's (where we had a delicious dinner!)
And Gus did his part, helping Raterra with the dishes afterward!
We sure do love the farm, and we LOVE Grandma Anne! Happy birthday tomorrow!~

Here is a quick post of pictures we got at the Barron Baptism a few weeks ago. We were so happy to be able to be present at the baptism of these two little girls, Lilly and Lucy. For those of you that want to copy/paste these pictures, feel free. I put them here to share them! I will up load them large so hopefully they are a good quality on your end!
It was a beautiful day!
