Spring-time fun at the park

We have been playing at the park a lot...you know, when it isn't snowing!  Here are a few pictures of the fun we have already had at the park this year.  Thank goodness the snow is finally gone and thank goodness we live within walking distance of a great park!

My kids are a little goofy.  They like pretty much everything the park has to offer, but they love playing in the dirt most of all.

Oh, and a quick shot of two kids, after baths, enjoying a few muffins the were leftover from breakfast.  I couldn't resist snapping a photo.

And then, we are back at the park.

This day we were joined by our friend Micah and Baby Frankie.

Bernadette isn't afraid of anything.  She loves the slides--especially the big ones.

One day we even took Gus's bike to the park.  He just needs a little help from dad.

But happiest of all when she is with her daddy.

A few fun pictures

Here are just a few fun pictures I've snapped lately.  Enjoy!

The first few are from Friday night.  We went to a Fish Fry and then headed over to a friend's house along with a couple other families. The kids were in heaven.  Great toys and a total of 9 kids (soon to be 11).

We have had a BEAUTIFUL weekend.  Yesterday Bill and the kids made a snowman.  Gus loved it...

Calving

Our farm fun continues...even though today was made less fun with snow.  But, here are a few pictures I actually snapped yesterday when we had a chance to spend some time outside.

Bernadette's 1st pair of glove got soaked in minutes...so we opted for a bigger pair...

Gus and Dave working on what was...at the time...the only snow left in the yard.

She really is this silly...all the time.

And then, after naps we went outside to meet a little calf that was only a few hours old.  Gus was really brave, and even excited.  When the calf let out a loud "mooo" he thought that was hilarious.  Bernadette was less than happy to be there, but for the entire next day whenever you ask her, "Bernadette, what does a cow say?" she responds with a loud "MOOOOOO!"

Don't worry, the mother of the baby calf was locked in a separate pen.  

After a few minutes with the calf, Gus thought he was an expert...just like his dad!!

And, just one from today.  We once again had fun playing with cousins and Gus and Bernadette had a lot of fun playing rough in a baby swing.

A post for Bill

I took these picture a couple weeks ago, but just realized that I have yet to share them here.  I really love these pictures...and it is so rare that I get both kids, in a good mood, to look at the camera.

I decided to post these now because Daddy/Billy is very far away again.  The kids really miss you, Bill, but they are happy, healthy, and eager to see you when you get back!

Oh my...and pretty soon there is going to be 3 of them...

Late Winter Pictures

I have not been doing a good job taking pictures lately.  I am just so sick of the snow, and now that it is finally melting, what is underneath is really ugly.  The kids are cute, and I should just keep snapping pictures of them, but with Bill gone, once again, for a 2 week business trip, I struggle to juggle both of the kids and my camera.  But, I just dug through the last few weeks of pictures and found a few that I had yet to share.

First, Bernadette and Luke.  She is so good and cute with her little cousin.  When he woke up from a nap this afternoon she went in to get him with me and just wanted to keep hugging, and hugging him.  And he is a serious gem of a baby!

The next few pictures, with all the snow, are from a few weeks ago, before any of it melted.  Bill took the snow blower out into the yard and created a path for Gus to "mow".  He had a blast...but the path already looks a lot less dramatic.  At that time we also snow blew and shoveled off our deck which has given the kids a great new place to play. 

And Bernadette is still a daddy's girl, big time.

This final group of pictures I just took yesterday and today.  With Bill gone we are once again down on the farm.  The weather has shifted again and it has been cold, but the kids have still be outside quite a bit.  Gus loves riding around on his bike...even though the ground is really bumpy.  It was muddy, with lots of tire tracks, and then it froze, but he keeps trucking around on that little bike.

The Lanoue kids showed Gus how to climb the hay-bail piles...but he wasn't quite brave enough to join them.

Then they showed Gus how to stomp in the puddles and pick up huge pieces of ice...and thankfully Gus wasn't brave enough to join in on this either!

And, one last picture.  With St. Patrick's day tomorrow we had fun putting on a little green and snapping a picture.  As you can see, I didn't really find a lot of green for little miss Bernadette...and she wanted nothing to do with that hat!
