First stop on the way to Kansas--Marshall

We are in Marshall spending a few days with family before heading out to Kansas and Missouri.  The weather in finally a little less cold, so we got outside today, but mostly our days have been filled with cousins and fun.  Right now Gus, Bernadette, Rose and Luke are playing an elaborate pirate games

Her are a few of the pictures I've taken recently.

Bernadette with messy hair.

The Judge.

Ah, a smile!

The dudes found a new favorite hideout--Grandma's China Cabinet which is temporarily in Ruth's dining room.

Then, after the big kids were done with school we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa's house to check on the construction progress.  Looks a little different!

This morning we headed over to do chores with Grandpa.  Dommy wants to get in as much tractor time as possible before we head to Kansas.

I took a few snow pictures of the kids while Dom was in the tractor.  It's a balmy 14 degrees here today--and pretty tolerable as long as you stay in the sun and out of the wind.

We mostly spent the morning playing in the safety and warmth of the shop.  When a guy came to deliver supplies for the construction all the kids got in the back of the new pickup to watch.

Okay, mom!  Get me out!  I wanna get back in the tractor!

We leave for Kansas tomorrow morning.  We will stay there for a few days, just to settle in.  Then we are headed to visit my sister Maria in Missouri.  My mom was graciously agreed to co-pilot for the journey.  I'll share more pictures that I take while on that leg of our journey.
