First few days on the farm: May 2014

Ready for a picture dump?  I got some cute ones!

The first pictures are ones that already appeared on my other blog as part of a sponsored post for Wet Nap, but in case you missed them, here they are:

The kids have finally been able to get out and enjoy the yard (when it isn't raining).  They love being outside.

This is Bernadette's cheesy smile that she does every time she notices me taking her picture.  She says cheese and then smiles like this...not quite sure it's cute...

The next day my husband spoiled me with a new lenses for my camera as a mother's day gift (love it!!) so I took a lot of pictures of the kids playing in the yard...

And Bernadette found a friend at the back of the yard that likes getting hugs.

And then, since it was in the high 60's after all, we got out the pool!

But, then it got gloomy, and daddy headed to Australia.  So, we headed to Marshall--where it was also rainy and cold...

But, at least there were baby kitties!

Bernadette is scared of the dogs at my parent's house, but she loves the baby kitties at Aunt Ruthie's house!
She especially likes helping them eat.

Saturday was more rain...but when the sun finally came out in the evening we headed outside to play in the puddles...and the mud.

Gus refers to this puddle as "My puddle".  He really loves it.

Little Miss Bernadette eventually wandered off the cement and got in a sticky situation...

Then, Grandpa came by and took Gus for a muddy 4 wheeler ride.

Now, that is a happy boy!

Sunday we headed to mass with the Lanoues and there was some competition for who got to sit on Grandpa's lap.

Luckily when we went to get donuts after mass we found a cart with 2 steering wheels...that kept them from fighting for a little while...

The rain continued Sunday and all day Monday.  Monday afternoon we decided to head out and take a few puddle pictures with a pretty little girl.  This is the million dollar shot!

While we were taking pictures we were listening to Grandpa feed the cows and there was lots of mooing.  Bernadette was mooing right along with them.

And finally, Gus in his favorite place in the world.

There ya have it--a look at what we have been up to.
We miss you daddy!

Easter 2014

Hi!  here is another great picture dump.  These pictures are mostly from Easter, but I had to share these first 2.  Gus likes me to take pictures of his grumpy face (which he is pretty good at) and then his happy face.
Grumpy...

Happy!

We headed to my parent's farm on Friday morning.  Quickly after arriving we headed over to the Lanoue farm to meet their baby chicks.  I didn't really get any good pictures....

Baby Luke and Uncle Billy.  (and a baby kitty)

Baby Luke's feet.

Uncle John!!!

The whole family went to Good Friday services.  The kids liked kissing the cross.

On Saturday it was a little cold and windy, but we headed into town and took part in the egg hunt hosted by the youth group.  The Lanoue clan was there too!

Rose

Look who found an egg!!

The only good thing about the wind it that it made for bubble fun!

Saturday was also Mary's birthday!  So, after the egg hunt we headed over for a party, complete with our Bunny cake...which looked better before the ears fell off...and were mostly eaten by grandpa.  Still tasted good!

And then, because we are really crazy, we took the kids to the Easter Vigil mass...and we survived!  Even though it was after 10pm, we posed the kids for a few pictures after mass...and then headed to Applebee's for a celebratory meal after mass.  A late night, but a fun Verly family tradition.

Thanks, Aunt Tina, for making the kids cute this Easter!

A family pic...including Dominic!

Easter Sunday was another great day over at the Lanoue farm with baby kitties and baby chicks.

And a big egg hunt!

I pray that you and your family had a blessed Easter,
Nancy

Spring-time fun at the park

We have been playing at the park a lot...you know, when it isn't snowing!  Here are a few pictures of the fun we have already had at the park this year.  Thank goodness the snow is finally gone and thank goodness we live within walking distance of a great park!

My kids are a little goofy.  They like pretty much everything the park has to offer, but they love playing in the dirt most of all.

Oh, and a quick shot of two kids, after baths, enjoying a few muffins the were leftover from breakfast.  I couldn't resist snapping a photo.

And then, we are back at the park.

This day we were joined by our friend Micah and Baby Frankie.

Bernadette isn't afraid of anything.  She loves the slides--especially the big ones.

Two happy kids!

One day we even took Gus's bike to the park.  He just needs a little help from dad.

She's so happy at the top of the slide...

But happiest of all when she is with her daddy.

More picture of Easter coming in just a few minutes!!!!

A few fun pictures

Here are just a few fun pictures I've snapped lately.  Enjoy!
The first few are from Friday night.  We went to a Fish Fry and then headed over to a friend's house along with a couple other families. The kids were in heaven.  Great toys and a total of 9 kids (soon to be 11).

A few sweet mommy moments.

We have had a BEAUTIFUL weekend.  Yesterday Bill and the kids made a snowman.  Gus loved it...

Bernadette wasn't quite sure what to think about it...

And, here is just one more of our sweet little Bernadette.

Love you all!
Nancy
