We had a great time with Baba and Pappy this year. They came for a week and this year Bill was able to take that entire week off of work.
We kicked off their visit with a trip to Table Rock Lake, in southern Missouri. It was beautiful (although flooded) and we stayed in cabins and rented a pontoon for the day.
Once we got back we had a few quiet days at home and the kids enjoyed playing lots of card games with Baba and Pappy, while we got ready to celebrate Gus's Birthday.
We celebrated the birthday at the Pirate Hideout and had a wonderful cake that Baba made from scratch. After the cake, however, Gus fell in the mud!
One of the last days of the visit we headed to the zoo. Lots of fun there. The penguins were awesome, but Josie loved the carousel best of all.
And then, sadly, we said goodbye to Baba and Pappy.
But first--the actual day of Josie's Birthday--
