A sneak peak at Christmas pictures

Spoiler Alert!  If you look at the following pictures you will not be surprised when you get our Christmas card!

We got the Christmas tree up this weekend and decided to take some pictures for our Christmas card.  I was happy with how the pictures of Gus turned out...and I debated to send out a card with just him.  Oh well.  Enjoy!  And happy Advent session!

I guess I will just do this: We used a few of these pictures in the Christmas card.  You will have to wait to receive your card to find out which ones made the cut!

First we took some pictures of Gus in front of the tree.  He is playing with a plastic ornament.  Check out how good he is getting at sitting up!

Then Dad got in on the action.

Then Santa got in on the action...

And, I'm not a fan of how these turned out, but we tried a few with the pretty snow that fell on Saturday night...hummm...good thing it is the beginning of winter and we will be able to try this again.

Gus's BIG smile!

And finally we did some family shots.  Here are several of them.  Many did not turn out very good.

And then I showered and we decided to try it again.

Thanks for stopping by...and just so you know, this is the third post I put up today.

Gus and his friend from school

On Saturday we had some new friends over who have a little boy who is just two weeks older than Gus.  I meet this little boy and his mother at my ECFE class and we thought it would be fun to have lunch together with our boys and husbands.  Plus, the other little boy is crawling already!  We thought maybe he could give Gus some pointers!

Well, Gus didn't learn how to crawl, but he is sitting up all by himself now!  Yeah Gus!

Getting good news with John!

It is time to get caught up on blogging!  I am going to do several posts today (as long as Gus keeps sleeping for a while!)  The first post is pictures from last Thursday.  Gus and I jumped in the car with my brother and drove down to Mayo clinic where John had a three month appt where he had an MRI and got the good news!  Still no cancer!  Gus was a really good baby and was happy almost all day even though he only got a few quick naps on my shoulder.  It was good to see my parents and to get out of the house.  And, of course it was wonderful to get the continuing good news about my brother.

These first four pictures are of the fun we had while John was in getting an MRI.  Gus was his usual self and was talking and talking!  He had the attention of the entire waiting room by the time John came out.

My mom was trying to take pictures of Gus (of course)

And the rest of these pictures are ones that my mom actually took.  Thanks mom!

Then, after we had some lunch we went and sat in another waiting room, waiting to talk to John's doctor.  (Hey, can you find my brother in the following picture?  If you know John at all you shouldn't be surprised to see what he is doing!)

Actually in the room with the doctor getting the all clear.

We were all so happy Uncle John is still healthy, especially Gus!

And then Gus took another little nap before we hit the road.

We are back and ready to blog!

It might have been crazy, but Billy and I decided to take Thanksgiving break and drive out to Uniontown, PA and surprise Billy's family.  Overall things went well and we had a really fun time.  We drove all night, and Gus slept most of the time we were on the road.  We are home now and transitioning back to life as usual.  Here are the pictures from our trip!

PS--if you would like to steal some of our pictures, please do.  To get the best quality, click on the picture (so you can get it in it's full size) and then drag that picture to your desktop.  It will save automatically and you can use it/print it from there.  Good luck!

Gus was pretty good at entertaining himself on the ride there.

And when we got there, Buba was so surprised!  She cried, and later she gave Gus his supper of Sweet Potatoes.

Aunt Tina and Aunt Amy were also surprised!

The next day was Thanksgiving.  With some good rest after the long trip, Gus got to spend time with all of his great-grandparents.  He especially liked to snuggle with Mom Mom.

But he liked snuggling with Pops too.

And he was a huge help getting the potatoes ready for Thanksgiving dinner.

Even though we were far from home, Gus had plenty to play with.  Mimi and Pops found this walker for Gus.

On Thanksgiving afternoon we went to visit Billy's cousin and Gus had some fun play time with Becky and Marcus.

And then, like the rest of us, he passed out on the couch.

He woke up later and was excited to spend time with Aunt Amy and Uncle Jason.

The day after Thanksgiving, Gus and Daddy took a nice nap together.

Gus and Michael.

Later that afternoon, Gus discovered just how much fun Mom Mom's walker was.

Billy's Godparents came to see Gus that afternoon.

And that evening Gus got to play with Colbie and Andrew.

Pappy got back from hunting right was Gus was headed to the bath...

The next morning we took some family pictures after mass.

These are some of my favorite pictures.  Gus and all of his adoring fans, just a few hours before we hit the road and headed home.

Here are just a couple pictures of Gus once we got home.  It has been a bit of an adjustment for him to get over all the travel, but it is good to be home.  We will be back in PA in just a few weeks, but thankfully we are flying this time!

Until next time,
Nancy and Gus
